Paul’s training focuses on identifying the details that can make an individual player better and creating purposeful sessions around them.
Whether you’re learning the game, competing at a high level or playing because you love hockey, the objective is the same:
Make your time on the ice count.
Focused one-on-one coaching built around your game.
Private sessions give Paul the opportunity to identify specific areas for improvement and spend concentrated time developing them through repetition, correction and game-relevant training.
Train alongside teammates, friends or players at a similar level.
Small groups combine individual skill development with competition, decision-making and realistic hockey situations.
Build the foundation correctly.
Paul works with young players on the technical skills, habits and understanding of the game that will support their development as they progress.
For players who want more from their game.
Sessions can target specific weaknesses, sharpen existing strengths or provide additional development alongside regular team training.
You don’t need professional ambitions to take your hockey seriously.
Adult sessions are for players who want to skate better, improve their skills, understand the game more deeply — and enjoy playing better hockey.
Balance, acceleration, transitions, agility and efficient movement.
Control, handling, protection and confidence with the puck.
Technique, release, accuracy, finishing and creating scoring opportunities.
Positioning, timing, awareness and decision-making under pressure.
Every player is different. Training can be built around the specific areas of your game that need attention.

The trophies and statistics tell one part of Paul’s story.
What matters when you’re training with him is what that experience has taught him about the game.
How to create space.
How to finish.
How to read a situation.
How small technical changes can make a player more effective.
And how to recognize what an individual player needs to work on next.
That’s the experience Paul brings onto the ice with you.
Experience You Can Train With.
Paul DiPietro (also written Di Pietro) has spent his life in hockey: more than 20 years as a professional player in North America and Europe, and more than a decade as a coach.
He won the Stanley Cup with the Montréal Canadiens in 1993, scoring twice in the Cup-clinching Game 5. His NHL career also took him to the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Los Angeles Kings, before he moved to Europe and, ultimately, Switzerland.
Zug became home. Paul played 11 seasons for EV Zug, with 573 games and 487 points, and represented Switzerland at the 2006 Winter Olympics.
Since retiring as a player, he has coached at the top level of Swiss hockey: as player development and assistant coach at EV Zug, assistant coach at HC Lugano, and development and skills coach with the Swiss U20 national team. Today he continues to work with elite youth and professional players on shooting and skills.
